Plant Hauls - Romence Gardens - A couple Baptisia and Delphinium
About the Seller:
Romence Gardens is based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. They have a retail storefront that you can visit and shop. Allegedly their in store pricing is a bit lower than their online pricing- which makes sense as plants aren't the most convenient things to ship and come with a bit more risk when delayed. It is a 3rd generation, family owned and operated business. They carry a good variety of shrubs and perennials as well as roses and annuals.
What I purchased:
- Baptisia - Pink Lemonade
- Baptisia - Dark Chocolate
- Delphinium elatum - Red Lark
Overall Impression:
I'm happy with my order, but a bit bewildered. There is no way this company is making money with the way they are shipping these plants. The boxes were huge and each plant shipped in its own box. They all arrived in beautiful condition, but, I'm concerned at the cost that would have been incurred to ship these. I paid $18 or so per plant and had a code for free shipping- so this order had to be a loss. The plants arrived in beautiful condition, but I also would have been fine with them all shipped together and a few damaged leaves to make this a more economically sensible venture. I don't like places I enjoy ordering from to struggle too much.
Photos:
These photos were a bit rushed- it's the time of year where I simply don't have a moment to go grab the good camera.
